Frequently asked questions.

Thrive Coaching FAQ’s:

  • ADHD Coaching and therapy provide different approaches and support for adults with ADHD. Therapy has a different set of tools and approaches that are more geared to exploring past experiences and facilitating healing.

ADHD Coaching is a partnership – the foundation is built on a belief that the client and coach are equals – each with a role to play in the coaching relationship.   Even if the Coach has specialized information to share, they fundamentally work from a place of recognizing that you are the expert in your own life.  The role of the coach is to guide, motivate, and help clients become more self-aware of the impacts of ADHD on executive function, self-regulation, and emotional regulation.  With this awareness, a coach will work with you to design structures, systems, and strategies specific to your goals. Coaching is a strengths-focused, action-focused process.

  • Over the past 15 years I have seen a tremendous positive shift in the recognition of, and diagnosis of, Adult ADHD.

With this, I have chosen to specialize in partnering with career-oriented adults - professionals, entrepreneurs, post-graduates - who know that ADHD is getting in the way of their performance and happiness.

If you are a teen or young adult looking for more academic related coaching, there are many talented coaches listed in my Other Coaching Resources.

  • You are not ‘locked in’ to coaching. I offer packages because it is important to recognize that change take time and that we will be building a relationship over time.  If you wish to end the coaching relationship before the end of the package, you can do so.
